Rebuilding your life and building a business after separation or divorce. Finding your voice
What does freedom look like to a woman who has been in a 10 - 20 year marriage/ partnership, and had to rebuild from scratch?
I want to share with you the reason I had to liberate from the sadness I was feeling, and how I managed to restarted and rebuild my business and my life after leaving my 18 year relationship.
I want to give you a little insight into one of the reasons PR and controlling your own narrative is so imperative to me, and for anyone, (and in my opinion, especially for any woman) who has been in a long-term relationship and decided to restart and re-build their dream on my own terms.
If you are a woman who has been in a relationship for more than 10 - 20 years and felt that life has passed you by, I am living proof that separation or divorce does not have to be your full stop.
You can restart rebuild and thrive. You can regain confidence in your value and you can find your voice.
You can be courageous in going for your dreams, and as a mother I know, your courage can also inspire and make your children so proud of you, just because you have decided to take control of your own destiny, and show up authentically.
- Lady, you are amazing, powerful, brilliant, and just an all-round star
- Develop the strength and power to tell your own story and be a light of encouragement for the next young lady coming up behind you
- Rest assured there is more to come of this journey, but for now, allow me to encourage you to show up in the world fully. That is what you call pure authenticity
Rebuilding your life after separation or divorce can be a daunting task, but it is possible to find your voice and build a successful business. Here are some tips:
- Allow yourself to grieve. It is important to allow yourself to feel the emotions that come up after a separation or divorce. This may include sadness, anger, guilt, or relief. Don't try to bottle up your emotions, as this will only make it harder to heal - I did that
- Seek support from friends, family, or a therapist. Talking to someone who understands what you are going through can be very helpful. They can offer support, advice, and help you to process your emotions - I did that . There is a saying in our network "Our village may be small but it is mighty"
- Take care of yourself physically and mentally. Make sure you are getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly. Taking care of yourself will help you to feel better physically and mentally, which will make it easier to cope with the challenges of rebuilding your life - I try to do that :)
- Start to rebuild your life one step at a time. Don't try to do too much too soon. Start by focusing on the basics, such as finding a new place to live and getting your finances in order. Once you have a foundation, you can start to think about your long-term goals - this is where it all began
- Find your voice. What do you want to do with your life? What are you passionate about? Once you find your voice, you can start to build a business that reflects your values and interests - This is why I started The PR Club
